Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) rewarded quarterly winner Noor Khadizah binti Haji Rosli with cash worth BND3,000 of BIBD Aspirasi certificate of deposit, as part of the Mega 30 campaign during a prize presentation at the 27th Consumer Fair at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Berakas yesterday.

BIBD Deputy Head of Retail Banking Clevy Syabil ‘Ariffin bin Jamil presented the prizes.

Two surprise winners – Muhammad Zahirrudin bin Muhammad Affendi and Ahmad Syahmi bin Rahim – were also chosen to win Mutual Fund investments worth BND950 each.

Muhammad Zahirrudin, surprised on winning, said, “I received a call to attend the event but was unaware of the exact nature of the prize.”

On the BIBD product he frequently utilises, Muhammad Zahirrudin revealed his reliance on the bank’s Virtual Card.

He emphasised that he regularly uses it for online transactions and setting aside funds for his savings. “I wasn’t aware of the Mega 30 campaign, but I am an avid user of the BIBD app for the virtual card. I feel that it’s safer than using the actual debit card, and I think it’s a great product. More people should make use of the virtual card,” he said.

Launched on March 1, the campaign aims to commemorate the bank’s 30th anniversary while expressing gratitude to customers.

The campaign is open to new and existing BIBD customers who apply or subscribe to BIBD’s products, services, financing facilities, and perform transactions until November 30.

As part of the Mega 30 campaign, 30 monthly winners were also awarded BND300 each.
