The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Brunei Darussalam Network held its 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the capital last Friday.
The AGM received the Chairman’s report and the Treasurer’s report for the session 2024, and also the election of the new office bearers, management committee members and auditors for the term 2025.
The new management committee comprise professionals from both the government and private institutions.
Ir Dayangku Roselawati binti Pengiran Haji Halus has been elected as the Honorary Chair for the Session 2025. In the AGM, the Honorary Chairman reiterated the vision and mission of IET and what the IET Brunei Local Network stood for.
The IET Brunei sets its vision in sharing and advancing knowledge throughout the global Science, Engineering and Technology community contributing towards national development.
The Honorary Chair reported the IET Brunei membership totalled over 400 members.
The AGM ended with a talk on ‘Advances in Microwave Filter Design for Modern Communication Systems’ by Ir Dr Kenneth Siok Kiam Yeo.
