Meeting discusses inclusive, sustainable business models in the region

Permanent Secretary (Economy, Trade and Industry) at the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) Dr Hajah May Fa’ezah binti Haji Ahmad Ariffin, attended a closed high-level ministerial session for ministers responsible for micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) development in Bali, Indonesia recently.

The meeting, held in conjunction with the Sixth ASEAN Inclusive Business Summit, discussed the promotion of inclusive business in ASEAN, and was chaired by Indonesian Minister for Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki.

According to MoFE, the Sixth ASEAN Inclusive Business Summit, hosted by Indonesia, emphasised the importance of establishing a conducive environment for MSMEs and for large businesses to adopt models that contribute to inclusive and sustainable development as well as building an inclusive business ecosystem in the region. – James Kon
