Medical services will be affected by the third wave of the COVID-19 outbreak, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at a press conference yesterday.
Various medical staff have been redeployed to fight the outbreak due to the surge in positive cases in recent weeks, the minister shared.
“Medical services that will be affected include dental clinics and other specialist clinics
and centres.
“Only emergencies or urgent procedures will be conducted while other medical services, which can be postponed will be moved to a later date,” said Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham.
The minister advised the public to plan ahead especially those who need to replenish their prescriptions.
“Patients should plan at least a week ahead of time,” he added.
