Members of the local media got the opportunity to get behind the wheel of the NETA electric vehicle (EV) during a test drive hosted by the authorised dealer, Berjaya Sdn Bhd, yesterday.
The NETA V is the first NETA EV in the Brunei market and is a model under the compact crossover EV segment.
The compact crossover segment for EV marks the kick-off of Berjaya’s plans in bringing other EV segments to the country, in alignment with the government’s target under the Brunei Darussalam National Climate Change Policy to increase the market share of EV to 60 per cent of total annual sales by 2035. Yesterday’s test drive for media began with a presentation on the NETA V by Advisor and Consultant of Berjaya Jeffrey Low who provided insights into the NETA V specifications as well as some highlights on the NETA EV line-ups and reviews and details of EV in ASEAN member countries.
Berjaya’s head of sales Kelly Chin briefed the media on the details of the NETA V. The media then tested the NETA V both as drivers as well as passengers, to get a feel of the performance and features.
Members of the public also dropped by the NETA showroom in Menglait, Gadong to get up close and personal with the NETA V and test drove it in the company of Berjaya’s trained sales consultants.
The on-the-road price is yet to be announced and Berjaya is currently promoting the NETA V and offering test drives to the public.
