Student athletes from International School Brunei (ISB) produced an exceptional performance at the recent Under-13 Federation of British International Schools in Asia
FOBISIA) Games 2025 at the Pattana Sports Resort in Thailand, winning an impressive 79 medals, including 17 gold, 37 silver, and 25 bronze, with each member of the ISB team winning a medal, according to a press release from the school.
A total of 21 ISB students – 16 from ISB’s Bandar campus and 5 from ISB Seria – competed at the Games, which took place from 17th to 21 st February 2025. The ISB contingent was made up of the strongest under-13 athletes in the school as well as three accompanying teachers.
The Games encompassed both individual activities and team sports, where participants competed in athletics, basketball, football, and swimming. The event saw ISB’s student athletes compete against other international schools from Asia.

Mr. David Mark Evans, PE Teacher at ISB said, “In the first two events we showed that we were well prepared and determined to achieve our full potential. By early day 2, all had achieved a medal. This is an achievement we always aspire to; it galvanised and bonded the team.”
“Reflecting on our final results, the team and coaches were very pleased with their overall performances, and especially the attitude and spirit the team showed throughout,” he added.
The FOBISIA Games is an annual three-day sporting competition involving international schools in Asia. It provides an opportunity for students to compete on the international stage against other athletes from the region’s international schools.
