Politeknik Brunei (PB) and The Institution of Mechanical Engineers Brunei Group (IMechE-BruG) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for developing cooperation in the field of mechanical engineering.
Through the memorandum, both parties agreed to establish the IMechE PB Student Chapter, a special association for PB students to learn and develop leadership skills and professional network and mentoring opportunities. PB students were also encouraged to become IMechE members.
The signing took place virtually. PB held the event at PB’s Main Campus in Jalan Ong Sum Ping, while IMechE BruG held the event at Regional Consultants, BT Complex in Berakas.
PB Acting Director Lim Kian Boon represented PB and IMechE BruG Honorary Chair Ir Haji Hamidon bin Haji Tahir represented IMeche BruG in signing the MoU.
Witnessing the signing were PB School of Science and Engineering Head Haji Mohammad Reizal bin Mohammad Ali and IMechE BruG Honorary Secretary Ir Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Modin.
