The Maxillofacial, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Centre (MFPRSC), a specialised facility under the Pantai Jerudong Specialist Centre (PJSC), on Saturday hosted an insightful dialogue and facility tour for members of the Legislative Council (LegCo). The engagement aimed to enhance the understanding of MFPRSC’s roles and contributions within Brunei’s national healthcare system.
Held at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital, the session provided an opportunity for the council members to explore the specialised services offered by MFPRSC and to witness its cutting-edge facilities. During the tour, members visited significant areas such as the Outpatient Clinic, CranioMaxillofacial Prosthetic Laboratory, Hybrid Operating Theatres, and the Implantology Clinic, gaining a firsthand perspective on the centre’s advanced capabilities.
The event culminated in a dialogue session led by Executive Director of PJSC and Centre Director of MFPRSC Dr Haji Mazrul Adimin bin Haji Awang Besar, which highlighted collaborative efforts between MFPRSC and other healthcare facilities aimed at enhancing Brunei’s healthcare services.
Also present were Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, along with senior management of PJSC and Heads of Departments from MFPRSC, who joined in discussions on healthcare improvements and shared insights into ongoing developments within the centre. – FADLEY FAISAL
