Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism
The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) yesterday held a Maulidur Rasul celebration for 1446 Hijrah/2024 at the Setia Pahlawan Hall of the ministry’s building.
Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin was the guest of honour.
Also present were Permanent Secretary at the MPRT Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, deputy permanent secretaries, department heads and personnel from the ministry.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat.
There was also a special talk on ‘Indahnya Akhlak Rasulullah ‘Alaihi Wasallam’, delivered by religious development officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre under the Ministry of Religious Affairs Haji Muhammad Najib bin Haji Awang.
The event concluded with a Dikir Marhaban performance by the Dhiyaul Iman group. – James Kon
Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications
The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) held a ceremony to celebrate Maulidur Rasul for 1446 Hijrah/2024 yesterday.
The event, held at Amar Pahlawan Hall of the MTIC building, was organised by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI).
Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha was among those present.
The event featured a religious talk on ‘Preserving the Mind based on the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh)’, by Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan Assistant Ra’es Dr Haji Mohd Sharol Azmi bin Haji Abdul Muluk. – Fadley Faisal

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) held a Maulidur Rasul celebration for 1446 Hijrah /2024 at its premises yesterday.
Organised by the Museums Department, the event featured a special talk on ‘Cinta Rasulullah Tiada Penghujungnya’ by religious officer of the Islamic Da’wah Centre Nasyith bin Superi.
The ceremony also saw the recitation of Dikir Marhaban, Selawat Tafrijiyyah and Sayyidul Istighfar.
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad was the guest of honour.
Also in attendance were permanent secretaries, heads of departments, senior officers, officers and staff of the ministry. – James Kon
Attorney General’s Chambers
The Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) yesterday marked Maulidur Rasul for 1446 Hijrah/2024 at the Law and Courts building, Jalan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha.
Attorney General Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib was present. Also in attendance were Solicitor General Hajah Zuraini binti Haji Sharbawi, along with officers and staff of the AGC.
The event featured a reading of verses from Al-Quran by invited qari Awangku Adi Nazri bin Pengiran Haji Jofri, who secured third place in the National Al-Quran Reading Competition for Adults for 1446 Hijrah/2024. – Fadley Faisal

Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College held a Maulidur Rasul celebration for 1446 Hijrah /2024 at its premises yesterday.
The college’s principal Dayangku Hajah Nooramaliatifah binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad, attended as the guest of honour.
The event featured a talk by a lecturer from the Jawi Studies and Kitab Turath Research Centre at the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak. – Azlan Othman
