The Marine Police under the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle contraband into the country via waterway on Monday.
The operation unfolded around noon when a Marine Police patrol boat spotted a suspicious vessel speeding toward Brunei’s river, originating from a neighboring country. Upon noticing the patrol, the suspect attempted to flee into the forest, abandoning both the boat and its illegal cargo.
