A 26-year-old local man was sentenced recently to three years and eight months’ jail and three strokes of the cane for sexually assaulting his 13-year-old foster brother. The defendant, whose name is withheld for the victim’s privacy had earlier plead guilty to the assault charge, while denying a charge of sodomising the victim in 2015.
