A 36-year-old local man claimed trial towards a charge of being a nuisance to the public in a state of intoxication at the Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
Following his not guilty plea, Adi Farid Riswandi bin Idris was ordered by Magistrate Nur Eleana binti Dato Seri Paduka Haji Hairol Arni to attend court on November 27 for trial dates to be fixed in the case. Prosecutor Nurulatikah binti Haji Husaini’s charge against the defendant alleges him of causing annoyance to vendors and customers at a business premise at the Gadong Night Market at 11pm on November 11.
The charge carries a penalty of six months’ jail and a fine. – Fadley Faisal
