ANN/THE STAR – A van driver was trapped for about 10 minutes in his vehicle after a crash with a lorry near Bestari Jaya, Kuala Selangor.
The incident occurred at Jalan Rantau Panjang in Kampung Sungai Darah, Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said in a statement.
“The victim, in his 50s, was transporting sundry goods when the crash occurred with the three-tonnes lorry.
“His right leg was pinned (and he was) trapped in the vehicle for about 10 minutes before we managed to free him,” he said.
The 29-year-old lorry driver was unhurt.
“The van driver was heading to Bestari Jaya from Rawang while the lorry was coming from the opposite direction,” Ahmad Mukhlis added.
