Deputy Director General (Operation) of Malaysia’s Fire and Rescue Department Dato’ Edwin Galan Teruki led a 14-member delegation on a goodwill visit to Brunei’s Fire and Rescue Department under the Ministry of Home Affairs recently.
Upon arrival at the Fire and Rescue Department headquarters, Dato’ Edwin Galan Teruki and the Malaysian delegation were welcomed by Acting Director of Brunei’s Fire and Rescue Department Azmi bin Haji Hafneh and acting Deputy Director of Fire and Rescue Department Haji Nohi Irwan Surkarki bin Haji Pawi as well as officials from the agency.
Malaysian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Dato’ Raja Reza bin Raja Zaib Shah was also present.
The delegation had a fruitful exchange of ideas regarding a memorandum of understanding for the management of firefighting and rescue operations.
There was also a discussion on conducting training courses and goodwill sports events.
