Five cyclists from Otai Cycling Sijangkang (OCS) of Selangor, Malaysia, passed through the Sultanate as part of their expedition across Borneo, which began on September 6.
The group led by chairman Haji Asral bin Haji Makmor, was welcomed at the Sungai Tujoh Control Post by members of the Oiltown Cycling (OTC) and the Panaga Cycling Group, who guided them to several scenic spots in the Belait District.
The visit included the iconic Teapot Roundabout, RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque and the Billionth Barrel Monument.
During the visit, OTC and OCS representatives exchanged tokens of appreciation to mark the occasion.
The contingent continued their journey to the Tutong District yesterday and will head to the Brunei-Muara District today, where they will participate in a cycling event at Bandarku Ceria in the capital.
The group shared that the expedition is a celebration of cycling as a hobby and sport that fosters mutual relationships and understanding among the participants. – Daniel Lim
