His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia arrived in the country on a three-day state visit on Sunday.
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal
Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, as the personal representative of His Majesty, and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman were at the Brunei International Airport this morning to welcome the Malaysian king and queen.
Also present to greet Their Majesties were were His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik, as Royal-in-Attendance and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi’atul ‘Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah; as well as His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
Accompanying Their Majesties was Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Idris Iskandar Ismail Abdul Rahman, Tunku Temenggong Johor.
The king and queen of Malaysia were then introduced to Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, as Minister-in-Attendance; Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Commissioner of Police Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad
Irwan bin Haji Hambali, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan and High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia Brigadier General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was then introduced to the official delegation
from Malaysia.
This marks the first state visit of Their Majesties to Brunei Darussalam since Sultan Ibrahim was coronated as the 17th King of Malaysia on July 20, 2024.
