Maktab Duli holds knowledge symposium

Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (MDPMAMB) organised a one-day Knowledge Educators Symposium centering around the theme ‘Quality Education as the Core of Learners’ Excellence’ on Tuesday.

The event aimed to raise knowledge through the sharing of professional and scientific information related to knowledge development.

Organised by the MDPMAMB Teachers’ Professional Development (TPD) Section, the symposium was held at the Student Learning Service Centre (SLSC).

MDPMAMB Principal cum guest of honour Dayangku Hajah Nooramaliatifah binti Pengiran Haji Ahmad joined Deputy Principal of Administration Dayangku Zalina binti Pengiran Haji Aliuddin,’ Acting Deputy Principal of Academic Dr Mohd Zamri bin Haji Ismail, lecturers and non-teaching staff at the symposium.

A special prayer was read by Syed Mohsen bin Syed Abdul Rahman Al Kaff. It was followed by a speech by Head of TPD Section Dr Faridah binti Abdul Hamid.

The symposium shared action research conducted by 15 lecturers who were divided into three teams. The teams conducted action research focussing on three areas in the School Improvement Plans 2021: quality feedback, action research and student self-reflection.

The symposium ended with the announcement of the School Improvement Plans 2022 focus area action research, presentation of certificates to SIP 2021 action research teams and awards to the top five lecturers who signed up for teachers’ professional development courses.
