Imams called on the Ummah to intensify acts of worship to reap benefits of Lailatul Qadar in the last 10 nights of Ramadhan.
Imams in the Friday sermon said to maximise Lailatul Qadar, Muslims are encouraged to recite Al-Quran more, enlivening the nights with acts of worship, increasing supplication to Allah the Almighty and perform I’tikaf (seclusion) in the mosque.
According to Al-Quran, those who perform acts of worship on that night will reap blessings better than acts of worship performed for 1,000 months (83 years and four months) and they will be forgiven for their past sins. The night is full of blessings until Fajr.
The opinion of most scholars is that it will occur on odd numbered nights.
