The AMG C63 SE and AMG SL, two new Mercedes’ models, were highlighted at the AMG Day event organised by Autohaus yesterday.
The AMG C63 SE is built with performance in mind. The in-house designed M139 engine is assembled entirely by hand following the traditional AMG philosophy. With the launch control set, it catapults the vehicle from zero to 100 kilometres per hour (kph) in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 280kph. To perfectly complement the unstoppable driving style, the AMG Performance C43 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system is also available on hand.
The sporty or the luxurious side of the C63 SE is emphasised with the exclusive colours and various nappa leather upholsteries with an embossed AMG emblem in the front head restraints while its special feature is the seat side bolsters with weight-saving openings that also allow better ventilation.
On the outside, it displays a new distinguishing feature, with the slim air outlet in the centre of the bonnet that transitions elegantly into the two powerdomes is exclusive to the C63 SE.
Meanwhile, the new Mercedes-AMG SL returns to its roots with a classic soft-top and sporty character and at the same time, the luxurious roadster as a 2+2 seater is particularly suitable for everyday use and puts its power down on the road with all-wheel drive for the first time.
It is equipped with high-tech components such as a suspension with active anti-roll stabilisation, rear-axle steering, the optionally available ceramic high-performance composite brake system and the standard-fit digital light with projection function headlamp.
Mercedes-AMG is for those who desire to achieve the seemingly impossible, taking action and creating change without fear of what is ahead.
Founded on a central philosophy of ‘One Man, One Engine’, every Mercedes-AMG engine is carefully assembled by a single Master Engine Builder tailored for your next drive where Mercedes-AMG combines unique elegance with pure thrill and takes luxury to a new level.
