Disappointment quickly turned into surprised elation when 38-year-old Dayangku Norfaizurah binti Pengiran Suffian pressed on the brake pedal and turned the key in the ignition after failing the first key-turn that made her the lucky grand prize winner of a Renault KWID Climber during Maju Motors Sdn Bhd Renault Grand Lucky Draw at its main showroom in Jalan Telanai yesterday.
The grand prize winner said she had just recently purchased her first Renault Kiger this year and winning a Climber was unexpected. As her daughter turns 18 years soon, the elated mother is happy to have the extra car for her.
Maju Motors Chairman Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Ratna Wijaya Brigadier General (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Hasnan bin Pengiran Ahmad presented the grand prize.
Representatives from Maybank Brunei’s Head of Business Banking Bobby Sia; Baiduri Finance Berhad’s Head of Sales Division Haji Muhammad Ali bin Begawan Mudim Haji Metussin and Assistant Sales Manager Pong Bee Thing; Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) At-Tamwil Berhad Head of Marketing and Public Relations Asharul bin Norshari Kamaluddin; and Tokio Marine Business Development and Underwriting Amelia Lim also presented prizes to winners.
Other top grand prizes included a Hisense 75-inch Ultra HD TV Google TV, a Hisense 65-inch Ultra HD TV Google TV, a Hisense 55-inch Ultra HD TV Google TV and Sharp 320L refrigerator.
The contest was held from October 2022 to February 19, 2023, with over 220 units of the KWID RXT, KWID Climber Triber and Kiber Renault models sold.
Thirty grand lucky draw prizes were awarded to winners, and 100 consolation prizes were given away, including small appliances, Renault servicing and detailing vouchers, as well as Renault merchandise hampers.
A Renault Trivia bonus segment was also held which saw winners going home with cash prizes.
