    Lucky draw winner drives home new car

    Local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) entrepreneur Bariah Alinizam is driving home a brand-new MG ZS after winning the grand prize in YMRM’s ‘Buy in Brunei, Support Local’ lucky draw campaign, which attracted over 70,000 entries from customers nationwide.

    In an interview following the grand draw, Bariah expressing gratitude and excitement, said, “I am very surprised and happy to win the brand-new car. We feel very blessed to be able to win the grand prize.”

    She had purchased a sinjang to be eligible for the draw.

    The second prize, comprising two air tickets to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was awarded to Afiq Danish bin Indra Rosendi while Sim Jun Hung received the third prize of a gold bar.

    An additional five finalists took home consolation prizes in the form of YMRM vouchers.

    High Commissioner of India to Brunei Darussalam Alok Amitabh Dimri was the guest of honour at the draw and prize presentation ceremony at YMRM Tungku Link.

    Chairman of YMRM Group of Companies Ramesh Jiwatram Bhawnani and YMRM Managing Director Hitesh Ramesh Bhawnani also attended.

    The lucky draw campaign is part of YMRM’s initiative to promote local spending and support Brunei’s economy by encouraging residents to shop locally.

    The campaign was launched to reward loyal customers and highlight the importance of supporting homegrown businesses, offering prizes to those who made purchases at YMRM outlets.

    With an accessible entry mechanism requiring no minimum purchase, the lucky draw saw widespread participation.
