Teachers play a vital role in providing academic teaching and shaping the behaviour, attitude as well as inspiring the students’ life journey. They leave a deep impression in their students, said Taipei Economic and Cultural Office representative Vanessa Shih.
“Therefore, teaching is a responsibility requiring passion and high commitment,” she said.
She made these remarks during a presentation of Overseas Chinese School’s Teachers Award 2022 to 13 teachers for their long service, which include special awards to Tan Kien Leong, Chang Wan Nee and Lai Sui Sien from Chung Hwa Middle School, Bandar Seri Begawan, who have been teaching for 20 years.
