Brunei Darussalam has enjoyed great development and progress under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, who has reigned over the nation for more than five decades.
This was highlighted by Imams during the Friday sermon titled ‘Long Live Our King’, in conjunction with His Majesty’s 76th birthday celebration yesterday.
Besides being a visionary leader, Imams said His Majesty is a truly caring monarch who always prioritises welfare for the people.
“Each national development has been successfully shaped, including advancing the country based on Islamic values in socio-political, socio-economic, religious, health, education and international relations,” Imams said, adding that national development projects are always carried out with the people’s welfare and well-being in mind.
“As citizens and residents of Brunei Darussalam, it is our duty to show our loyalty to His Majesty,” they added.
