Muhammad Yusran bin Saugi received the first place prize in a logo design competition while Fatin Noor Hasibah binti Noor Aflan and Haziqah Najwa binti Ibrahim received first and second runners-up prizes in a ceremony at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) yesterday.
The logo design competition commemorated the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.
The competition was jointly organised by the Singapore High Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the MCYS.
Singapore High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Laurence Bay Siow Hon presented the prizes.
He said, “Singapore and Brunei share a long-standing partnership sharing history and culture going back generations.
“The friendship and camaraderie between the peoples and governments of both countries through the years has helped to create the special and unique relationship today.”
He also expressed appreciation to the ministries for bringing the idea of the logo design competition to a success.
The winning logo incorporated the national landmarks of Singapore and Brunei, highlighting the interconnectedness and close ties between the two countries.
The winning logo was unveiled by Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singapore on June 27. – James Kon
