Logo design competition participants receive certificates

The Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi), at the Ministry of Development (MoD) held a prize presentation ceremony and handover of certificates of appreciation for participants of the Construction Industry Outstanding Award Logo Competition (ACIP) at Indera Pahlawan Hall of the ABCi building, Berakas.

Present as the guest of honour was Acting Permanent Secretary (Infrastructure, Housing and Professional) at the MoD Sr Hajah Norhayati binti Haji Mohd Yaakub.

The Outstanding Construction Industry Award (ACIP) was introduced in recognition of contractor companies registered under the MoD exhibit excellent performance and quality in line with the MoD’s Strategic Planning Plan 2018-2023, in an effort to support local business development and construction industry.

The ACIP Working Committee, through ABCi, organised a competition specifically for Politeknik Brunei students to create the ACIP logo.

The competition was open from February 18, 2021 to March 20, 2022, drawing a total of 25 entries from 14 participants. Successful participants created a logo that met the criteria, form and theme that had been set, in line with the concepts of ACIP.

Also present at the ceremony were the Acting Director General of Public Works and the ACIP Working Committee, comprising the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation, Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Institution of Surveyors, Engineers and Architects (PUJA) Brunei.
