Local, youth-led companies win contracts

The Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB), through Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), signed contracts for i-Usahawan Non-Energy programme with Syarikat Almag Maju Jaya and Rizq Jaya Sdn Bhd at the Design and Technology building in Anggerek Desa Technology Park yesterday.

Almag Maju Jaya was awarded two contracts of two years for ground maintenance services in four industrial parks under DARe’s management while Rizq Jaya was awarded two contracts of two years for integrated cleaning and pest control services for three factories under the management of DARe.

Both local companies were part of the i-Usahawan Non-Energy programme facilitating opportunities for youth-driven enterprises to learn and grow in the service industry through contracts with government agencies, government-linked companies and corporate organisations beyond the traditional energy sector.

Signing on behalf of Almag Maju Jaya was managing director/contracts and operation manager Muhamad Hamiz bin Haji Ghani with deputy contracts and operation manager Najib Asmu’i bin Haji Ghani as witness, while representing Rizq Jaya was director Nurul Izzati Naqibah binti Zaidi accompanied by manager Nurul Iwana Naqiyah binti Zaidi.
