A number of local travel agents will be invited to visit Atami-city in Shizuoka prefecture Japan to shoot tourism promotional videos in April this year to boost tourists arrivals in Brunei Darussalam.
Advisor to the President for Brunei Affairs of Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) Okuochi Hiroshi revealed these details following a meeting between a delegation from Atami city and officials from Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) on Tuesday.
The Atami-city delegation, in the country for four days, discussed with RB officials about the promotion of tourism in Atami-city and Brunei through RB’s direct flight to Narita Airport, Japan.
Hiroshi added that the trip to shoot the promotional video will be arranged by the local government in the city. It will present the city’s popular tourist attractions such as the hot springs, view of Fuji Mountain, cherry blossoms, seafood and traditional Japanese hotels.
The trip will also include visits to cultural and historical places in the city, he said.
