Local taekwondo athletes won medals in World Taekwondo Hanmadang 2023 and Sehan University International Championship 2023 in South Korea recently.
In World Taekwondo Hanmadang 2023, Juliana binti Abas won gold in high jump kick and silver in long jump kick in junior category. Sarifuddin bin Rahim earned third place in side/back kick breaking in senior category while Hyde Nachman bin Hijium, Hyde Nathania binti Hijium and Ahmad Zahid bin Borhanuddin won bronze in mixed team poomse event.
Meanwhile in Sehan University International Championship 2023, Hyde Nachman won gold and Ahmad Zahid was placed second in the male solo event.
Hyde Nathania and Hyde Natrisha binti Hijium won silver and bronze in the female solo event.
Hyde Nachman and Hyde Nathania won gold in the mixed pair event while Ahmad Zahid and Hyde Natrisha were placed second.
