Two local mixed martial arts (MMA) representing Wolfpack MMA won their fights during the Ultimate Beatdown 55 at the Colosseum Gym in Johor Bahru, Malaysia recently.
Azizan Ariffin marked his MMA debut with a victory against Malaysia’s Amar Putra from the Arfight Team via stoppage with a front rear naked guillotine submission in the second round.
His compatriot Danyal Johan made it two wins in his career record after defeating Singapore’s Eugene Seow from Tricolor Gym in a dominant performance.
The 28-year old won via unanimous decision in the three-round contest with a three-minute time limit allocated in each round.
Both fighters met their opponents in the below 77-kilogramme category. The team was led by coach Adib Sulaiman who helped them train in preparation for the bouts for about two months.
As part of the team, Haikal also played an influential role in assisting the athletes. – Fadhil Yunus
