A local man was ordered to settle a BND2,500 fine after he pleaded guilty to charges of dangerous driving and failing to stop on police orders.
Mohammad Khairul Adzmie bin Sahari, 39, would have to serve two months and two weeks’ jail in default of payment.
Prosecutor Hajah Siti Mu’izzah binti Haji Sabli revealed that the incident began with the defendant running away from Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officers, who were trying to arrest him at Rumah Pusat Bahagia, Kampong Sibut on the evening of February 2, 2021.
