The Borneo Fittest Competition was hosted at Kelab Rekreasi Petroliam on December 3-4 and drew athletes from across Southeast Asia. Five events held were a combination of functional and weightlifting workouts.
Hybrid Movement Gym athletes shone during the competition, namely Darren Chai (champion of the Men’s Elite category), Nina Juna (champion of the Women’s category), Dirah Latif (first runner-up for Women’s Open) and Wai Zhi Foong (6th place in the Men’s Elite category).
Darren said, “It was a great competition which had different challenges but in the end we put in our best effort and we are happy with the results.
“We hope to inspire other Bruneians to join more international competitions.”
