Local golfers compete in Pattaya 3M Qualifier

Local golfers competed at the 3M Qualifier in Pattaya, Thailand yesterday for a chance to enter the main event with a USD7.5 million prize purse.

The 3M Qualifier began yesterday and will end tomorrow. The champion will secure a place to play in the 3M Open 2022 on July 17-24 at TPC Twin Cities, Blaine, Minnesota.

Mohammad Qawim Fakhri bin Haji Aslimon shot the lowest score among the Bruneian representatives during the first day of the qualifier with 71 followed by Pengiran Wirahadikusuma bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Salleh with 75. Awangku Mohd Syakir bin Pengiran Haji Alli carded a 76, with national teammate Mohd Aritz Maldini bin Haji Abdul Majid ending the round with 77, and Bryan Chiew Chun Hao with 79.

The players are sponsored by the Brunei Darussalam Golf Association with Mar’azmala Petrol Station and Trading and Sonax.
