    Local delights for sungkai

    Rokiah Mahmud

The Rizqun Coffee House at The Rizqun International Hotel is offering a range of dishes and local delights for the Ramadhan Sungkai.

According to Chef Nova, it is part of The Rizqun Coffee House’s annual tradition to serve delicacies that have become favourites among patrons. While adhering to the measures and guidelines outlined by the Ministry of Health (MoH), the team came up with a way to ensure that patrons, waiters and waitress as well as chefs have limited contact.

“This year, the food is served directly to patrons at their table. This will enhance safety and prevent the spread of COVID-19.”

Chef Nova also shared that during Ramadhan, The Rizqun Coffee House will carry out their weekly lucky draw where diners will receive room vouchers.

Murtabak with curry dhal will be served every Friday, ambuyat with condiments every Saturday and assorted cucur delicacies on Sunday.

The main course will include selections of beef, chicken, fish, vegetables and rice inspired by local, Chinese, Indonesian and Indian cuisine.

For desserts, patrons will be served assorted Malay kueh, cakes, fresh cut fruits and bubur of the day, while drinks will include bandung, teh tarik, coffee and tea.
