The Kampong Kilanas Mosque Takmir Committee yesterday organised a project to help ease the burden of the less fortunate in their community, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan.

The project saw the donation of daily food essentials, including rice, sugar, flour, cooking oil, canned foods, biscuits and others to 53 families – 36 from Kampong Kilanas and 17 from Kampong Jangsak – that fell into the category of the poor and destitute. The donation was handed over via a drive-through process, following guidelines from the Ministry of Health.

Advisor III of the Kampong Kilanas Mosque Takmir Committee Pengiran Tajuddin bin Pengiran Ahmad and Advisor IV Haji Abdul Wahab bin Haji Safar handed over the donations.

The project was initially open for members of the Kampong Kilanas Mosque Takmir Committee and later extended to their family members and friends who wished to provide infaq (alms).
