The Tropical Hornbills recently represented Brunei Darussalam at the ASEAN-India Music Festival 2024 in India. The band, combining indie rock and folk sounds, captivated audiences while fostering cultural and musical connections.

The band performed at the Global Music Institute with Malaysian band Floor 88, sharing Southeast Asian musical styles and engaging with students.

The band also delivered a performance at the ASEAN-India Music Festival 2024 at Purana Qila (Old Fort), where they met musicians from Southeast Asia, including Subsonic Eye from Singapore and Television Off from Thailand.

A highlight of the trip was meeting Director of SEHER India Sanjeev Bhargava, where the band presented a signed banner as a gesture of goodwill. They also met with representatives from the Brunei Embassy in India.

Meanwhile, at the ASEAN-India Music Festival’s Bangkok Edition, the lead guitarist Alimin Juna performed with the ASEAN Collab Band, uniting musicians from across the region, including The Western Ghats (India) and Television Off.
