The Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) fined three individuals after they were caught disposing trash in a drainage at Kampong Sungai Kebun.
The individuals were caught on a nearby CCTV camera. Two were fined BND100, while a third was fined BND300.
The individuals were given seven days to settle the fine, or be brought to court.
The department reminded members of the public to practise proper disposal of trash at designated areas and their responsibility of keeping the surrounding environment clean. – Daniel Lim
