The Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe) fined an individual BND100 for littering on public premises behind a government building yesterday.
Mohamad Iqbal bin Morni was caught on CCTV disposing trash from a vehicle parked behind a government building.
The man has been given seven days to settle the fine, and failure to do so will result in the case being brought to court.
If found guilty, he will be fined between BND1,000 and BND3,000 for the first offence, and between BND3,000 and BND9,000 and imprisonment of up to six months, or both, for subsequent offences. – Daniel Lim
