Green Brunei is collaborating with Bruneians: Read by organising a book fundraising campaign from March 4 to 30 in conjunction with World Book Day.
The campaign will be raising money through the sale of the books and sticker packs.
One hundred per cent of proceeds will be donated to Lucky Calico, an organisation that promotes the safety of stray animals as well as sharing knowledge regarding animal care. The funds will help to ensure the welfare of stray animals. The objectives of this book donation are to encourage the public to read and educate the public on the issue of strays.
The campaign will also give the public an opportunity to practice one of the 3R’s as the books sold are pre-loved and used books. The public can purchase the books by filling in bit.ly/BookDriveToYou. The selected books will be wrapped and sent to their new owners.
