Lisa of Blackpink set to launch solo album

SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – Lisa, the globally renowned member of Blackpink, is gearing up to release her first solo album, “Alter Ego,” on February 28. The highly anticipated album will feature seven distinct versions, according to her agency, Lloud Company.

Fans can look forward to a range of formats, including a jewel case, a vinyl record, and five different photobook editions, ensuring a wide array of collectable options.

The singer has been forging her own path since establishing her independent management company earlier this year, alongside securing a partnership with RCA Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music.

This marks a pivotal moment in her career as she continues to cement her status as a solo artist.

Lisa has already given listeners a taste of her evolving musical style by releasing three singles over the past months: “Rockstar,” “New Woman (feat. Rosalia),” and “Moonlit Floor.” These tracks have garnered impressive accolades, with “Rockstar” reaching No. 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the Global Excl. US chart. Meanwhile, “New Woman” achieved a position of No. 97 on the Billboard Main Songs chart.

In addition to her album release, Lisa is set to perform twice as a solo artist at next year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April. She will be joined by her Blackpink bandmate Jennie, who will also take the stage for her solo act.

Lisa’s “Alter Ego” marks a new chapter in her artistic journey, showcasing her growth as a performer and solidifying her place as a powerhouse in the global music scene.

Fans and music enthusiasts alike are eagerly counting down the days to February, ready to embrace the star’s latest offering.
