Brunei Darussalam Central Bank (BDCB) will be selling a commemorative set of the mono-ply plated steel circulation coins in conjunction with its previous issuance in November 2024.
These commemorative coins will be legal tender in Brunei Darussalam.
The commemorative set contains the denomination of one-cent, composed of mono-ply brass plated steel, measuring at 17.78 milimetres (mm) in diameter and weighs an estimated 1.78 grammes (gm).
The five-cent coin measures at 16.31mm in diameter and weighs an estimated 1.69gm.
The 10-cent coin measures 19.41mm in diameter and weighs an estimated 2.83gm.
Meanwhile, the 20-cent and 50-cent coins are measured at 23.60mm and 27.76mm in diameter with estimated weights of 5.65gm and 9.33gm.
All five-cent, 10-cent, 20-cent and 50-cent coins are made of mono-ply nickel plated steel.
The set of commemorative coins will be available for sale to the public starting April 22.
Members of the public who are interested to purchase them may visit the Currency Gallery and Gift Shop at the BDCB, at Level 1 of the BCMB Building, Ministry of Finance and Economy Complex.
