Limited edition Blackpink digital collectibles release

SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – YG Entertainment is set to unleash digital collectibles leveraging the iconic presence of its girl group, Blackpink.

Marking a significant milestone, Blackpink’s inaugural digital collectibles will hit the digital shelves through VeVe, a renowned New Zealand-based firm specialising in licensed digital collectibles, running from May 22 to May 26, as confirmed by the agency.

Each digital collectible is a distinct or limited-edition rendition of a virtual item, representing a new frontier in fandom merchandise.

Drawing inspiration from “Pink Venom,” Blackpink’s groundbreaking hip-hop single debuted in August 2022, the exclusive Pink Venom collection showcases a myriad of captivating elements.

This collection includes intricately designed 3D figures portraying each member, alongside a vividly depicted concert stage and signature Blackpink light sticks.

Dedicated fans who amass the complete set of four member-themed 3D figures will be rewarded with the opportunity to craft a complimentary ‘Pink Venom’ collectible card, adorned with a member’s autograph. This entitles them to participate in a special purchase event for an exclusive digital collectible.

This latest venture underscores YG Entertainment’s ongoing commitment to expanding the Blackpink intellectual property (IP) universe.

Notably, in May 2023, the agency ventured into the realm of mobile gaming with the launch of “Blackpink The Game” in collaboration with TakeOne, a distinguished game development and service company.

Blackpink’s involvement in the project extended beyond mere endorsement, as they actively contributed to crafting content for the game, including original songs and a captivating music video.
