Frequent blood donor Haji Jamsari bin Haji Abu Bakar convinced his two children to follow in his footsteps as they donated blood together at a drive organised by Perbadanan Tabung Amanah Islam Brunei (TAIB) Group of Companies at the Airport Mall yesterday.
Explaining his motivation, he said, “Donating blood saves lives.
“We know that one pint of blood can help three people.”
The 52-year-old started donating blood a few years ago and has taught his children that “although we are not wealthy, we can still help people by donating blood”.
Encouraging more people to donate blood, he said, “As the blood supply is currently low, it is important for Bruneians to come forward to donate blood and help those in need.”
