QAF Auto Sdn Bhd’s BMW Motorrad Brunei unveiled the new BMW S 1000 RR M Sport at its showroom yesterday after a 48-kilometre Hari Raya ride that began in Tutong District.

QAF Auto General Manager Alisa Khoo launched the new motorcycle, followed by a Hari Raya get-together.

The BMW S 1000 RR features lighter weight with upgraded engine giving it greater focus on performance.

It also comes with newly-designed winglets previously only available on M 1000 RR.

The winglets are capable of generating up to 17 kilogrammes of downforce for better stability at high speed.

An update to the four-cylinder engine gives it a maximum of 210 horsepower allowing better rideability and performance for both racetracks and street. The S 1000 RR M Sport is built with carbon fibre reducing the overall weight while giving it a luxurious look.

It also comes with titanium exhaust system producing a sportier sound and further reduced weight. Meanwhile, BMW Motorrad Brunei said BMW Motorrad is celebrating its 100th anniversary and will bring two limited edition models to the Bruneian market.

They will each be limited to 1,923 units globally.
