The Life Skills Training (LESTARI) programme emphasised on individual focus in making smarter choice and testing their mental, physical and emotional endurance through tasks and activities that simulated life, said Brunei Darussalam AIDS Council (BDAIDSCouncil) Vice President (Administration) Mohamad Hazrin bin Daud as camp commandant in his welcoming remarks during the conclusion of the programme at Sungai Kebun Sports Complex on December 10.
The training programme which included indoor and outdoor activities, was participated by 21 youth aged 15-25. The objectives were to educate youth on life skills in a more interactive environment and encouraged them to be responsible.
Director of Youth and Sports Development Division at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Zainab binti Haji Morshidi, the guest of honour, sat in on a video presentation of the programme before presenting certificates to the participants. – James Kon
