The Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) through its Muallaf Development Division (Muallaf Welfare) in collaboration with the Tutong Dakwah Unit, donated a power supply generator to Muhammad Omar bin Abdul Rahman @ Sumping Anak Angut at the Tutong Dakwah Unit office on Thursday.
PDI Assistant Director Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Kahar made the presentation.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah led by Assistant Religious Officer at the Tutong Dakwah Unit Muhammad Zaim bin Haji Awang Ali.
A practical demonstration on how to operate the generator was shown, followed by a Doa Selamat.
The donation was aimed at bettering the welfare of the converts, while promoting a sense of responsibility and care to those in need.
Among the assistance provided to underprivileged converts include building and repairing of houses, schooling assistance, water pumps and tanks and basic daily necessities.
