Speaker of the Legislative Council (LegCo) Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib received a farewell visit from British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam John Virgoe on Wednesday as he concludes his tenure.
During the meeting, both parties expressed appreciation for the strong ties and friendship between Brunei and the United Kingdom. They also exchanged views on current issues of mutual interest, particularly in the legislative system, and discussed plans to further strengthen cooperation.
Also present at the meeting was Clerk to the Privy Council, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council, and Clerk to the Legislative Council Dr Dayang Hajah Huraini Binti Pehin Orang Kaya Setia Jaya Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hurairah.
