LegCo members meet Southern Philippine lawmakers

The Legislative Council (LegCo) received a delegation from the Bangsamoro Attorney General’s Office (BAGO) in southern Philippines yesterday.

The BAGO delegation was led by Attorney Najihah P Masacal-Moslem, Attorney V and Division Chief, Legal Research and Opinion Division, Bangsamoro Attorney General’s Office along with 12 members of her delegation.

LegCo member Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Adanan bin Begawan Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohd Yusof and Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the LegCo Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar along with other members of the LegCo were present to greet the delegation.

The two parties held discussions to share perspectives, exchange information and ideas in the methods of bills being passed.

The two parties also discussed in-depth parliamentary matters which are key to government policies.

The working visit aimed to observe and share best practices as well as fostered relations between the two groups of lawmakers.
