Lee Junho returns to stage

(ANN/KOREA HERALD) — Lee Junho recently made a triumphant return to the stage after five years with a two-day solo concert titled “The Day We Meet Again” at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoor Stadium.

With an audience of nearly 11,000 fans, Junho, well-known as a member of group 2PM, showcased his singing skills, unveiling the Korean version of his Japanese hit “The Day We Meet Again.” The concert, following his successful Japan tour and fan meetings across Asia, featured a dynamic performance, complete with laser and LED screen effects.

Since completing his mandatory military service in March 2021, Junho has been active in the acting scene, contributing to popular TV series such as “Red Sleeves” and “King The Land,” where he portrayed charismatic male leads.

Throughout the concert’s three-hour duration, Junho captivated the audience with a diverse repertoire of 25 songs, seamlessly transitioning between Korean and Japanese tracks.

Notably, he shared personal anecdotes behind his compositions, including the emotional backstory of “Darling” and the touching tribute in “Fine” dedicated to his late cat.

Expressing gratitude to his fans, Junho stated, “This concert is the most meaningful event for me. I’m proud to have filled it with songs I wrote and composed.”

The grand finale featured a surprise birthday celebration for Junho, whose birthday falls on January 25. As he performed an encore close to the audience, Junho expressed heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support of his fans, acknowledging the challenges of juggling group performances, solo endeavors, and acting roles.

The night marked not only a musical journey but also a sincere connection between Junho and his dedicated fanbase.
