Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officers completed an advanced training course on counteracting international drug trafficking, illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, organised by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Chargé d’Affaires of Russia to Brunei Darussalam Andrei Mamaev presented the certificates and thanked the officers for their active participation.
“I am pleased to hear that the courses were very useful to you although they were conducted virtually,” he said. “I am sure that new knowledge will benefit you and help you to grow professionally.
“The key priority for the Russian organisers is to promoting effective methods of counteracting crimes by sharing best practices,” he added.
The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs annually organises training programmes for representatives of law enforcement agencies in ASEAN member states.
Since 2020, nine NCB officers have successfully completed the course.
