Law education takes centre stage

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) Legal Week 2023 came to a close on Saturday at the university’s Jubilee Hall in Gadong. The programme from October 2 to 7 exposed the legal world to students of UNISSA’s Faculty of Shariah and Law through a host of activities.

The opening ceremony at the university’s auditorium on October 2, was officiated by UNISSA’s Faculty of Shariah and Law Dean Professor Dato’ Dr Haji Zulkifly bin Haji Muda.

The programme continued with a Teh Tarik Session #1 theme d‘The Legal Insider Real Talk: From Law Students’ Perspective’ followed by a public speaking workshop.

The second day of the programme began with a briefing on ‘Menaik Taraf Kualiti Diri Ke Arah Bertaraf Professional Buat Lepasan UNISSA’ followed by a dean’s moot court competition.

A client counselling competition was held the following day.

A Teh Tarik Session #2 themed ‘A Day in the Life of a Legal Practitioner’ was held on the fourth day.

The programme concluded with a Muzakarah session and the announcement of the client counselling and dean’s moot court competitions’ winners.
